We here at Bocoup want to take a moment to recognize two of our team members for their work on WordPress 4.4, which was released this week: Mat “Wilto” Marquis and K. Adam White.

Mat, by his own description, was the lead noise-maker for the effort to get native responsive image markup into the WordPress core. As Chair of the Responsive Issues Community Group and contributor to the HTML5.1 specification, he oversaw the process of building a successful responsive images WordPress plugin, which was then merged into the WordPress core. We’d be remiss, here, not to mention the team that made it possible: Tim Evko, Jasper DeGroot, Joe McGill, and many, many others.

KAdam is proud to have contributed to the infrastructure that will power the upcoming WordPress REST API, as a part of his project work here at Bocoup. KAdam will be speaking about integrating the REST API within a node application at next month’s Day of REST event in London.

All of us here at Bocoup are excited to continue to participate in the evolution of WordPress: as a blogging platform, as an open API platform, and as an all-around crucial part of our work on the Open Web.
