We are excited to announce that Darius Kazemi has joined our team to focus full time on HTML5 game development and evangelism. Darius brings a career of experience building and analyzing internet games.
We are committed to helping open web technology succeed at Bocoup, but to date, we have focused on building software for startups & the enterprise, and demos for browser vendors. To become fully realized, we believe that open web technology needs consumer technology adoption. Gaming is the largest vertical in consumer technology, so we are going to start working on JavaScript game tech. We are looking forward to working with Darius to grow this arm of Bocoup.
Darius spent the last 6 years working as a gameplay metrics analyst. He is a contributor on the Akihabara Game Engine and makes games in his spare time. Darius sits on the IGDA Board of Directors and helps organize the Boston Post Mortem, runs the GameLoop unconference in Boston each year, and is maybe best known for writing a how-to guide to help shy students get into the video game industry.
We are pumped to get back from JSConf and NodeConf next week to start working on new HTML5 game development initiatives with Darius. Stop by Bocoup to ask Darius about building games with flash.
