Au Revoir Gare du Nord

Last year, we excitedly announced the development of Bocoup’s new world headquarters in North Station.

We finished a gorgeous renevation of our bullpen in February and immediately set to work on our community space, when suddenly we hit a snag: fire suppression. We spent much of this year renting hotel ballrooms and meeting rooms and running outdoor events, while working with our landlord and the city on permitting, fire code compliance and the budget issues it caused. Ultimately, we decided to shut the project down and find a new place with an event space. Luckily, we didn’t have to look much further than Faneuil Hall:

Our new home in Boston is located at 2 South Market St, Boston, MA 02109. This will be a temporary headquarters while we continue to search for our long term home in the Boston area.

The facility will house our team, continue to support coworking for software engineers, and actually have classroom and lecture spaces. We’ll be moving into our new office and reopening the Bocoup Loft on October 6th, after which the Loft will once again become available for groups hosting free events focused on Open technologies.
