We’re on cloud nine for our newest Bocouper – Jess Klein!

Jess joins us from the Mozilla Foundation, where she served as Creative Lead for such projects as X-Ray Goggles, Hackasaurus (which became part of the larger Webmaker platform), Thimble and the Hive. She also served as the Creative Director for Mozilla Open Badges, where she helped develop an ecosystem of tools for learners to earn, assess, issue and display digital micro-credentials.

Jess began her career in the curatorial department of Prints, Drawings and Photos at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Over the last decade, she has worked at a variety of institutions dedicated to learning including the Museum of Arts & Design, The Rubin Museum of Art, The Institute of Play, Startl, The Hive and Sesame Workshop. A Rockaway Beach native, Jessica co-founded Rockaway Help in the wake of Hurricane Sandy and was named a White House Champion of Change for her civic hacktivism.

At Bocoup, Jess will be bringing her passion for open processes and her design acumen to a variety of internal and Open Source projects, with a focus on education and community initiatives. She’ll also be helping our clients kick off their projects with open design principles in mind.

Fun fact: Jess makes stealth post-it note portraits during meetings – so keep your eyes peeled! Join us in welcoming her to the Coop, and be sure to say hello to her at New York meetups and on Twitter!
