I’m elated to announce that Ashley G. Williams has joined the education team at Bocoup!

Ashley comes to Bocoup from the Flatiron School where she was lead instructor for the 22-week NYC Web Development Fellowship program. Prior to that, she taught in the New York public school system for three years as a NYC Teaching Fellow using tools like Scratch to bring technology education into the classroom. Ashley maintains the Sinatra Recipes project, is an active participant in merging pull requests and solving issues in AngularJS. She brings an incredible amount of teaching, curriculum development, and engineering experience to Bocoup.

Ashley spends her free time thinking about programming language design, film, philosophy, physics, and jokes. So the next time you see her, make sure to ask her about the pataphysical nature of using Erlang to model the orbital mechanics in Méliès’ Voyage dans la Lune.

We’re excited to work with Ashley to teach more people about all facets of the Open Web. Don’t forget to check out her GitHub and Twitter.
