Susan has been dedicated to making content on the web accessible to people for over ten years. As an Inclusive Web Developer at Bocoup, she works on projects that focus on CSS, accessibility, responsiveness, and performance.
As an expert, she has given talks at conferences including dsgnday, Future Insights Live, and SmashingConf. She contributes to improving the web and educating peers as an organizer of Refresh Portland, a writer for A List Apart, a guest on industry podcasts, and is an active contributor to Bocoup’s own blog.

Her decade-plus experience on the open web and her desire to make it accessible to all integrate with her personal passion for design and art. Susan lives in Portland, Oregon and enjoys art, reading, and running when it isn’t cold and rainy.
