Jory Burson oversees Bocoup's web developer advocacy work as our representative at [Ecma International](https://www.ecma-international.org), the [JS Foundation](https://js.foundation), [W3C](https://www.w3.org), [MDN Product Advisory Board](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US).

Prior to becoming Bocoup's Standard Liaison, Jory served in multiple leadership roles within the company from 2012 to 2018. Jory enjoys collaborating with people at Bocoup to create content, curriculum, and training resources for the Web Platform, and [writes about technology standards](https://medium.com/@jorydotcom) on her Blog. Jory has also contributed to [jqfundamentals.com](http://jqfundamentals.com), the [jQuery learning site](http://learn.jquery.com), and likes to work with [Nodebots](http://nodebots.io).

Prior to Bocoup, Jory taught media literacy at Oklahoma State University, managed a chain of restaurants for Stan Clark Companies, and raised show cows on the family farm in Oklahoma. Jory holds both a BA in Journalism and MS in Media Studies from OSU. She is a Board Member at the [JS Foundation](http://js.foundation), and a contributor to [A List Apart](alistapart.com/author/jburson).
