Jim is a developer and data explorer who is excited by the craft of data visualization. He enjoys picking apart interactives to see how they work, and how effective they are at communicating with their intended audience.
The tutorials on his website are an attempt to provide these learnings back to the community in an easy to digest format.
Prior to Bocoup, he worked as a bioinformatic data analyst at the very special Stowers Institute, and learned a bit about the wild world of fashion and retail as a data scientist in the Nordstrom Data Lab.
When not frantically typing nonsense into his computer, he can be found crafting and enjoying the beautiful landscapes of sunny Seattle with his wife and two beautiful but very time consuming children.
