Tessel 2

Bocoup collaborated with the Tessel 2 team to provide technical and community leadership to ship an affordable and powerful microprocessor that offers a better developer experience for hobbyists and businesses alike.



Johnny-Five is a framework for controlling hardware components across a variety of popular microprocessors using JavaScript. Released at Bocoup in 2012 by Rick Waldron, the library and collection of resources is maintained today by a world-wide community of passionate software and hardware developers.

Bocoup engineers worked with Mozilla to stabilize Gaia, the web technology-driven UI of FirefoxOS, and created a contributor on-boarding process and suite of applications to drive the capabilities of this mobile Open Web operating system.
